Ken Done Paint-A-Bear Competition for Schools

Teachers, involve your students in the Ken-Done Paint-A-Bear Competition to win fantastic prizes! Winning entries will be selected by internationally renowned artist and UNICEF ambassador Ken Done. Winners in 3 age categories will receive a Faber-Castell student prize pack valued at $150 and a Faber-Castell prize pack for their school valued at $450! Runners up in each category will receive a Faber-Castell student prize pack valued at $30. Winners and runners up will have their names published on the Sydney Buddy Bear website! Simply print out the Buddy Bear outline for your students. Encourage them to come up with a unique design and send the entries in to:

The competition runs till the 5th April and is open to all students year K - 6 in NSW. The United Buddy Bear project provides a wonderful learning opportunity for children. The message it 'bears' is one of friendship between nations and across cultures. Why not use this opportunity to discuss themes such as multicultural Australia and the importance of tolerance and understanding between different peoples and use this as inspiration for the design?
